“I am writing to express my gratitude and appreciation for all that both of you have done for me. I am thankful that you chose to represent me concerning claims with the VA. Your staff has treated me with respect, understanding, and kindness since day one. Below I would like to provide more details concerning my journey with you and what you have accomplished on my behalf. I have been a Marine for over thirty years and a Marine Corps Veteran for the past twenty-two years. When I exited the Marine Corps in June 2004 my bottom three vertebrae of my lower back were compressed on top of each other, my right shoulder had been torn and required surgery, within my neck one of my vertebrae was completely fractured and a piece of bone the size of a dime remains detached until this day. My hearing diminished and I also had PTSD. I would not find out until twenty-nine years later that I was exposed daily to toxic chemicals at various duty stations which has led me to be diagnosed with P16 squamous cell cancer within my tongue, throat, lymph nodes, two large muscles on each side of my neck and my right tonsil. When I received my final physical test, all except PTSD and the cancer were documented and my VA rating was at ten percent. When exiting the Marine Corps I was ignorant of how the process with the VA worked and for the past twenty-two years I have worked mid-level manager positions that required me to work anywhere between sixty to ninety hours per week, with eighty percent of that time six to seven days per week. When I tried to schedule an appointment, it would be during work hours, and I would have to reschedule or cancel the appointment. I did not accomplish anything toward compensation until 2025 when I scheduled an appointment with Veterans Benefit Law Group, PLLC. Gregory Keenum and Kennedy Burns immediately began to work on my case in October 2025 when I was at twenty percent disability and I am currently at one hundred percent permanent and total disability as of August 2026.
